Santa Monica Swim Lessons
Our adult swim classes in Santa Monica are held at Santa Monica College (SMC). We offer both group classes and private lessons. Whether you're training for your first swim event or looking to shave seconds off your pace, Swim Smooth LA by Fluid Movement helps you swim smarter, faster, and with more confidence.
Serving swimmers across Santa Monica, Venice, Marina del Rey, and West Los Angeles, our coaching emphasizes biomechanics, body position, pacing, and swim economy.
Each week offers focused development through technique refinement, endurance work, open water preparation, and structured pace sessions designed to eliminate inefficiencies and build lasting confidence.

El Segundo (LAX) Swim Lessons
We’re proud to offer adult swim coaching at the Wiseburn Aquatics Center in El Segundo. Swim Smooth LA, powered by Fluid Movement, now runs Adult Beginner and Squad Session programs at this South Bay location—built for real progress, whether you’re stepping into the pool for the first time or sharpening fitness and performance for your next triathlon.
Whether you’re starting from scratch or preparing for your next race, our El Segundo program provides the structure, coaching, and community to move forward with confidence.
Swimming Programs Available in El Segundo & LAX
Adult Beginner Classes: Build Confidence in the Water
- Format: Beginner-friendly classes designed just for adults
- Progression: Slow, step-by-step coaching — breathing basics → balance → posture & alignment → freestyle
- Coaching: Supportive, nurturing, patient instruction in a small, welcoming environment
- Schedule: One class per week — real results in as little as 4 sessions
Squad Sessions for Serious Swimmers
- Schedule: Twice per week — Wednesdays & Fridays at 1:00 p.m.
- Eligibility: Open to swimmers who can complete 100 yards in under 2:15
- Coaching: Led by experienced coaches in competitive & open-water swimming
- Training Style: Motivating, fast-paced sessions refining technique, pacing, and endurance
- Community: Group format builds accountability and camaraderie
- Benefits: Improve efficiency, confidence, and overall performance
